Just got back from watching transformers 2 for the second time. Yeah I know I saw it on saturday, but Kate has managed to get away from work for a day, so is up for a visit & she wanted to see it.

 

Great film, I'm actually glad I got to see it at the cinema a second time. I deliberately stayed away from all the publicity & hype surrounding the film. I had no idea who the new transformers for the film were so got lots of awesome surprises the first time (my favourite 2 transformers are in it, yay). Secod time I saw it I could just sit back chill out & watch the film, without the over excited moments when a new character is introduced.

 

Did geta  couple of slaps for drooling at Megan Fox though

P.S. To any of the AoC guildies, Me & Kate will be about from about 9pm tonight to try out the new patch & doa  bit of raiding me thinks, open invitation to guildies to join us

yep, little drunk on tequilla right now. Had a fab day with Hazel, topped off nicely with a trip to see transformers 2, which is totally awesome, & some tequilla drinking upon getting home.

 

Sore head in the morning me thinks & have a raid on Age of Conan tomorrow afternoon. But get to game with my gorgeous Kate, so sore head or not it will be fabulous.

 

So thats pretty much it for my drunken blog tonight. Just want to say many thanks to Hazel for making my birthday lots of fun & thanks for the lovely meal tonight. & thanks to the georgous Kate for all the texts etc throughout the day, love you babe.

Yay, its my birthday today. I've now hit the grand old age of 33.

 

Fab pressies so far, although I did get a few of them early as Kate has to work this weekend, so I got my pressies from her early. So far the birthday haul consists of, Red faction Guerilla, prototype, 4200 MS poinst (all thanks to the lovely Kate - thanks so much babe), Guitar Hero Greatest Hits, new wallet, trip tonight to see Transformers 2 (from Hazel, cheers hun) & overlord 2 from my rents & family (although they are unaware of it at the moment, will tell them monday when I see em).

 

Hazel has also just finished making me a lovely chocolate cake & is cooking me a stir-fry for me tea tonight.

 

Have spent the MS points on point lookout from fallout 3 (pc version naturally) & a shed load of rock band 2 tracks. Finiahed point lookout last night & its fantastic, definateky the best fallout DLC I've played so far (haven't got to broken steel yet though).

 

still got another week off work, which is great, best bit is Kate has Wednesday off, so get to spend some time with her yay. ahte long distance relationships, but can't be helped at the moment.

 

Have loads to do next week though, need to have a major tidy up, must try & get some gardening done, get website designed, take photos for website, get bedroom PC sorted out & play lots of games. going to be a busy week me thinks.

Yep, I'm back blogging.

 

I stopped blogging last year as I just didn't have time for it tbh. Been toying with the idea of starting it up again for the last few weeks & tonight I just feel the urge to write a blog post.

 

BE WARNED, anyone who used to follow my blog may be infor a little surprise though.

 

So E3 has been & gone, quite impressive it was too. Lost of new games etc shown. Good times you would think. for xbox live we have twitter, facebook, better movie streaming, funky stuff for avatars, nutal etc etc. Sounds great doesn't it. Just one small problem. Almost all of the new stuff Microsoft announced hangs off the xbox live marketplace.

 

Why is this a problem?

 

The bloody marketplace doesn't work properly & as it stands as I write this blog its been almost a week since it has worked properly. I had an early birthday pressie from Kate last week, a 4200 MS points card (mainly for the next lot of fallout 3 DLC, come on 23rd June hurry up & get here). I wanted to look at the available rock band 2 tracks over the weekend & plan out which ones I wanted. Sound plan I thought, only problem being the marketplace wasn't working properly. The xbox.com version just crapped out & failed to load the page, on the xbox console it just kept telling me that no content was available. Gave up trying & thought I'd look at it this week.

 

Tuesday was downtime for xbox live & I, like may others expected the marketplace problems would be solved when live came back up.

 

Oh at this point its worth pointing out that the live downtime highlighted an issue for me. I had to change my console the other week (DVD drive was dying). Now lots of media files require the optional media update to play. Now as I was no longer using the original console the media update was downloaded to & not connected to live, the marketplace DRM prohibited the media update from working. No problem I thought, when lives back up, just create a new GT & download the update.

 

Oh if only it was that simple. Took me 7 attempts to get the account creation process to go all the way through. Kept throwing up various errors & generally being slow, crap & annoying. Finally got the GT set up, go to the marketplace, set the media update to download, low & behold I'm presented with a error & no download. So sitting here marveling at the wonders of xbox live & looking forward to all the new crap they will add that will no doubt just slow it all down & crap it out more often, I deceided ofr a laugh to check the support section oc xbox.com & see what the error code means.

 

Great so the error code means the video file can't be read correctly from the disk,skipping to the next chapter may allow playback to continue.

Yep, either the xbox is giving me the wrong error code, or xbox.com support needs to be updated.

 

So basically, live doesn't work properly(again!!!!) & its getting to the point where its happening too often.

 

 

Anywho, calm happy thoughts lol.

 

 

got 2 weeks off work starting next week, so will try to get a catch up blog done. There is a hell of a lot thats happened over the last few months (very little of it good unfortunately) & I think I may be ready to post some of it up.
